We’re excited to welcome Jordan Porter as the new varsity basketball coach at Geneva Classical Academy!
Coach Porter brings a strong background in both basketball and athletic event management. For the past three years, he has served as the Assistant Athletics Coordinator and Game Manager at The Master’s Academy in Oviedo, FL. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing game-day operations across a variety of sports—handling everything from scorekeeping and announcing to coordinating volunteers and ensuring facilities were prepared to the highest standard. His attention to detail and passion for creating a great experience for athletes, coaches, and fans made a significant impact on the athletic program.
Coach Porter also brings firsthand playing experience and a deep love for the game of basketball. He played varsity basketball at The Master’s Academy from 2019 to 2021, competing in two district championships and making regional playoff runs. He was coached by Reggie Kohn, a five-time FHSAA State Champion and one of the most respected coaches in Florida high school basketball. Over the last four years, Coach Porter has continued to learn from Coach Kohn, observing and studying his methods and leadership.
Now, he’s excited to grow our program and help cultivate culture at Geneva Classical Academy. Coach Porter is passionate about building a successful program and spiritually investing in student-athletes both on and off the court.
